Welcome to Candies terms and conditions. These terms and conditions apply to the use of by Candies and the selling of products to you subject to the conditions set out below.

Please take a moment to have a look at the following terms and conditions on the sale to ensure that you are happy with the service we provide. Please note that any person using and ordering from our website are deemed to understand and accept our terms and conditions.

Delivery of Products

Our aim at Candies is to get your sweets to your door as soon as is possible in the best manner possible. All orders are sent out within 48 hours, (usually within 24 hours) of receipt by the quickest and cheapest postal method and should arrive to you within 2-3 working days from date of postage but cannot guarantee this during busy periods and seasonal fluctuations. Please note orders placed after midnight on Friday will be posted after the weekend, due to postal services not working weekends.

Candies only sends out the best quality products to their customers that are well within their best before date. However, we cannot accept responsibility for deterioration caused by climatic conditions or transportation once the goods have left our premises.

We will deliver the products ordered by you to the delivery address provided. It is however your responsibility to provide us with accurate delivery information as we will not check or verify addresses and messages supplied by you.

We stock a huge range of sweets from many different manufacturers. This means we cannot guarantee that our products are free of nuts or nut traces.

In line with our environmental commitments, we will choose the most minimal packaging to send your order without compromising presentation or affecting the quality of the sweets.

Delivery Methods & Timescales:

We send all our parcels via the Royal Mail which they aim to deliver within 2-3 working days. If you require a parcel urgently, please contact us by email or phone or our Facebook page and we will endeavour to fulfil your order subject to timescales (please note extra postage may be required)

Candies reserve the right to cancel and refund any order that may process in error from these areas.

We cannot guarantee a specific delivery timescale unless you get in contact with us.

International Shipping

We only deliver within the United Kingdom and do not deliver internationally.If the products you receive are not what you ordered, defective or the incorrect quantity, please contact us and will then correct your order.

For example:

  • Make good any shortage or non-delivery
  • Supply and deliver substitute goods
  • Refund or do a partial refund at our own discretion

Please note that we cannot be held responsible for any damage caused through postage such as climatic conditions affecting the product. We make sure that all items are in perfect condition before they are sent to you. If your parcel does arrive in a poor condition, please contact us.

Order errors and or discrepancies must be notified to us in writing to candies.wittering@gmail.com within 24hrs of the receipt of the order. If products are missing from your order, then we require photos of the products received, alongside a photo of your packing slip. Missing products will be refunded from your order and not replaced.

We will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits, business or goodwill). We shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the products in question.

Neither we nor any third parties provide any warranty or guarantee as to the accuracy, timeliness, performance, completeness or suitability of the information and materials found or offered on this website for any particular purpose. You acknowledge that such information and materials may contain inaccuracies or errors and we expressly exclude liability for any such inaccuracies or errors to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Your use of any information or materials on this website is entirely at your own risk, for which we shall not be liable. It shall be your own responsibility to ensure that any products, services or information available through this store meet your specific requirements.

Events beyond our control: we shall have no liability for any failure to deliver products you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to products delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control. This includes without limitation to, strikes, lock-outs and other industrial disputes, breakdown of systems or network access, flood, fire, explosion or accident.

Allergy Advice & Ingredients

All customers should be aware that unfortunately all of the sweets offered by the store are manufactured and packaged in environments where nuts may be present and therefore Candies cannot guarantee that any sweets supplied are free of nuts and nut traces.

We try our best to provide ingredients information on all of our sweets however on some occasions we may not include this information. If you require ingredients on any specific items, then please send a request to us. Please note that ingredients provided are those from manufacturers’ packaging and lists and cannot be held responsible for their content. Candies reserves the right to use alternative manufacturers for all sweets on offer and therefore cannot guarantee that the ingredients listed will match exactly those sent previously. Candies only sources the highest quality sweets to provide you with the best tasting treats.

Out of Stock Items

Candies work with many traditional UK confectionery suppliers to ensure that we can provide the quality, value and range everybody wants. There are times an item or two will be unavailable should this situation occur, we will automatically refund you for the out of stock item by the same means of payment used.

Candies may also choose to cancel any sale and not supply products if it is reasonable to do so and may change or discontinue the availability of products at any time at its discretion. If an order is cancelled, any payment made for the products will be refunded in full. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Pricing Policy

Our mission at Candies is to offer the high-quality sweets online at a great price. Due to the nature of the raw ingredients of sweets these prices may fluctuate. This is a rare occurrence and wherever possible Candies aims to keep prices to the best value possible.

The price for each product is shown on Candies Online and includes VAT 20% (if applicable)

Returns Policy

At Candies we offer a comprehensive returns policy and therefore in the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with the items, please follow the returns procedure below, failure to do so may result in us being unable to exchange goods or provide refunds.

Please be aware that Candies cannot be held responsible and hence provide refunds/exchanges on stock affected by circumstances beyond our control. This includes damage and neglect after goods are received, goods being stored in climatic conditions such as extremes of temperature that can affect some items and damage by third parties – however we will seek to get apologies and compensation.

In addition, please be aware that during particularly hot spells of weather goods in transit can be affected by extreme heat so please be aware items of a delicate nature such as chocolate may not always look as pictured, but they will still taste the same.

Returns Procedure

Candies should be notified within 48 hours of receipt of your order of any part that is unsatisfactory via our email, phone number or our Facebook messaging quoting your order reference and name.

Step 1. Once we have responded to your message goods must be returned within 7 days by recorded delivery. Note – if Candies are at fault, we will of course also refund your postage costs immediately.

Step 2. Goods returned should be in their original condition and packaging in which they arrived.

Step 3. Once received items will be checked and refunds on goods and postage arranged where suitable. Due the perishable nature of goods on sale Candies cannot issue refunds on simply unwanted good and must not be opened. Refunds/exchanges will only be offered on items that are faulty and were clearly so at the time at which they were dispatched.

Note: You will be responsible for the returned products until they reach us.

Candies will only except goods for return and refund/exchange if supplied by us and will only refund the costs of fair return postage and original sale price of goods. No additional compensation will be available on goods returned other than that already stated, as Candies are not responsible for any costs or losses incurred after costs of goods and returned postage.

Candies always strive to be fair and just when dealing with genuine issues our customers may face.

Copyright and Trademarks

Candies does not give you any right or interest in any copyright or intellectual property rights in any product nor the right to copy them.

The copyright in Candies and the content and pages of the store relating to Candies is owned by, or licensed to Candies, unless otherwise specified and may not be used, copied or altered without our express consent. Copyright extends to the design, look, and feel of Candies online store, all photographs on it and its marketing materials.

You may use Candies for private and personal non-commercial use only – i.e., to view, copy and print portions of Candies the sole purpose of placing orders. The materials on Candies may not be used for any other purpose.

Candies and our logos are trade names or trademarks of Candies and may not be used by anyone else without our express permission and we are the owners of unregistered trademark rights in them.

However, Candies does not make any warranty or representation in respect of any other trademark and the trademarks of the brands featured on Candies belong to their respective owners.
